Before completing the application
1. Read the ARC catalog.
2. Register for the Praxis Core tests (if you have not already taken
them) or apply for the Praxis Core waiver.
3. Register for the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview and Writing Proficiency
Test if Needed (World Language Candidates only).
4. Register for the Praxis II examinations (if you have not
already passed them).
5. Request transcripts – Arrange for your undergraduate and any
graduate transcripts to be sent directly to ARC, 450 Columbus Boulevard, Suite 707,
Hartford, CT 06103.
6. Obtain a foreign credential review for a bachelor’s degree
or any collegiate study from outside

1. Complete all sections of the application. Note that you do not
have to complete the application in one
sitting. At the beginning of the application, you will establish a login and
password so that you may return to your application as needed until you submit
the final version. Be aware that:
a. While you are working on the application, you
need to permit pop-ups in your internet browser and/or toolbars. Important information for responding to questions
will be provided in pop-ups, and your reference forms cannot be accessed and
printed if you do not permit pop-ups.

3. Monitor the completeness of your application – You must
monitor the completeness of your application to be certain that ARC has received
all required documents (e.g., transcripts, recommendations). Click on the
box that follows to monitor your application. You will need your login and
password. Note that you will not be able to monitor the completeness of your
application until ARC has received and processed your application's signature
page and the check for your application fee.
You will not be notified if items are missing from your
application. It is the applicant's responsibility to monitor the status of
their application in a timely manner. Access to the status of your
application is available 24 hours a day.
