2015 Higher Education Community Service Awards
The Connecticut Higher Education Community Service Awards recognize community service activities conducted by college students,
faculty and staff statewide. The awards are made by the
Connecticut Commission on Community Service working in partnership with an
awards committee representing community-based organizations. The 2015 Awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, April 14, at
3:00 p.m. at the State Capitol, Room 310.
Information and Eligibility
All nominees and their nominating institutions will be
recognized at the award ceremony.
The awards recognize students and faculty/staff for service completed
during an academic year.
All nominations must be submitted using the online
nomination form and be received from the
service contact designated by the college or university president.
Nominations must be submitted by Thursday, March
12, 2015, 5:00 p.m. to be considered.
Award Categories and Criteria
A campus may submit up to two nominations in each of
three categories: individual student, student group and faculty/staff.
Individuals and groups may be nominated in only

Based on the narratives, the Awards Committee will select
three (3) nominees from the individual student category, two (2) from the student
group category and one (1) nominee from the faculty/staff category as award
